Back in 2008, I hooked up with a producer called Vintage who lives in America through an online forum and we have been working together ever since. This was one of the first beats he sent me and I was feeling it from the jump. As you can hear, the beat is very funky and at first I was stuck as to what to write about. Then I used my “creative genius” to touch on a topic that was not “funky” at all – as in my struggles trying to come up in the music game. The thing with this track is despite the content being a bit depressing, the fact that I say “I keep it going” along with the up-tempo vibe give the song a celebratory tone.
